Myogauge provides a cost effective, in-house, job screening program which insures that you have hired the best employee for the job. Our pre-employment, pre-offer isometric strength test matches the physical capability of the worker with the physical requirements of the job. Because this is an isometric test there is no muscle movement. As such, applicants cannot injure themselves - this eliminates frivolous injury law suits. Tests that require lifting or mimicking actual job functions can exacerbate a pre-existing injury that the applicant may have.

As per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, strength testing can prevent up to 40% of work related injuries by discouraging the assignment of workers to jobs that exceed their strength capabilities. Workers that are not properly matched up to the physical demands of the job are most likely to become injured. Over 1,250,000 workers each year incur low back injuries and the cost to employers is over 50 billion dollars each year. The Myogauge Strength Test is the best way to determine if the worker has the ability to perform the job requirements.

In accordance with the EEOC, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act, the Myogauge Strength Test is not a medical test and consequently can be administered as a pre-offer strength and agility test. We have engaged Hogan & Hartson LLP to represent our company world wide in connection with general matters pertaining to job screening under applicable U.S. statutes. Should the applicant fail the Myogauge Strength Test, employers need not take further action. Subsequent testing, like drug screening, is not incurred. This savings is appreciable.

The Myogauge Strength Test creates normative data for current employees. Their test data determines the base-line cut off point for a prospective employee. If future employees meet this figure they can be considered for the job. Another benefit to this test occurs when an employee becomes injured. His/her base-line data is now on file and can be used as a reference point. This data will determine when they can return to work. This eliminates expensive Functional Capacity Evaluations and the possibility of premature return to work and its consequences.
