The Myogauge Pain Measurement Test (PMT) has been proven successful in identifying individuals that are symptom exaggerators, otherwise known as malingerers. The test takes only 15 minutes and is non-invasive. The data is evaluated by Myogauge personnel and is then forwarded to the independent Medical Examiner of record.

The Myogauge protocol involves 5 categories of evaluation to determine fraud. Below are the graphs / results of muscle strength testing measured by the Myogauge. Red, yellow and blue lines are the same claimant, doing the same test, three times.

Example of a valid test: These are the typical results of a normal control subject, or an injured worker with real damage. Note how the results are consistent. This cannot be faked.

Example of fraud detected: This is the typical result of a faker or malingerer. Note inconsistent results. This is the graph you get when you try to fake an injury.
